O’Neill Shipwrights have completed many comprehensive interior and exterior refits on vessels up to 200 ft .
We work collaboratively with Captains and Owners in Australia and abroad to deliver exceptional results. Additionally, Andy or his senior team members can personally project manages refits to bring together a variety of specialised teams and skillsets. All carefully selected for their industry leading craftsmanship.
This project involved in a comprehensive refit of the interior and cabin areas as well as the replacement of soft linings and furnishings throughout.
Work on the exterior included a full teak deck replacement, where we replaced a total of 6,280 lineal metres of decking. We were also involved in the removal and reinstallation of every piece of exterior hardware in order for a partner company to undertake a complete paint job of the topsides and superstructure.
During this refit we temporarily based a team on the Gold Coast for the majority of 2019 with the fabrication of materials coming from our Sydney operations in Mona Vale and the Sydney Superyacht Marina.
It was during this project, and in discussion with local captains and crew that our idea for a new branch was born. This also allowed us to build up a team of highly experienced shipwrights, working with them for a number of months before we officially opened our operations at Gold Coast City Marina in January 2020.
