About us

O’Neill Shipwrights was established in Sydney in 2009 by qualified Shipwright Andrew O’Neill. For over 10 years we’ve been servicing clients and their vessels across Australia.

With workshops in Sydney and the Gold Coast our dedicated team works as one unit, servicing the whole of the East Coast of Australia.

Andy leads the business with a highly skilled trade background specialising in teak decking, refits and custom installations.

Andy’s experience includes 5 years crewing and refitting superyachts in Europe. A significant proportion of that time spent at the Perini Navi shipyard in Viareggio.

O’Neill Shipwrights boasts an experienced team of qualified shipwrights who pride themselves on their craftsmanship. Many of the O’Neills team have a background in international yachting which is demonstrated in their high level of skill and attention to detail.

Mobile shipwright services to the global yachting industry.

Our projects range from specialised timber boats through to large international superyachts.

Our scope is highly tailored to each client and the project needs. The business has earned a reputation of professionalism, via a dedicated team and high level of craftsmanship that ensures project outcomes are of a world class standard.

Premium Shipwright services for the east coast of Australia

O’Neill Shipwrights operates from two locations on the eastern seaboard of Australia.

We have been operating out of the Sydney Superyacht Marina for over 10 years and as of January 2020 we established  operations at Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard on the Gold Coast to adapt to evolving client needs. The team is led by Tyson Maloney who boasts more than 7 years of local and international experience in the yachting industry.
